We're back!

We got back in yesterday. The weather was just getting really nice. Got a little sun.

Today is Haylie's 18th birthday and we wanted to go to her party. Otherwise we probably would have stayed in Florida a little longer. I wish I hadn't forgotten my camera because she looked so pretty. This picture was taken at Christmas.

It is amazing how fast they grow up!

I am sorry!

I have to apologize to the people of Florida. I know that they will be glad when we leave. The temps are supposed to be back in the 70's Friday. That is the day we are leaving for home.

Just remember that we didn't plan on bringing the cold weather with us. We wanted warm weather too.

Warmer weather

We are in Florida. This is a view from our room. The water is such a pretty color.

It is much warmer than IN. When we got here everyone was bundled up and frezing but it wasn't too bad for us. It rained today but tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's and sunny.

Florida here we come

We are leaving for Florida tomorrow after my Dr appointment for my ear. Gunk is coming out and I hope everything is OK. It doesn't hurt too much so it can't be to bad. Right?

I have been catching up on all my blocks. I made up my mind I was going to do my BOMs as soon as I got them. So far I am doing it, but it has only been 1 month. I got all my blocks done in the birthday swap too. I made blocks for Lisa, Laurie, & Tommie.


I hope they like them.

Amy's Birthday

We went to Tony's house to celebrate Amy's 5th birthday. She was so excited. She got lots of stuff for her Bitty Baby Susie.

Playing Catch up

Now that the holidays are over it is time to get caught up. I am behind in several of my BOMs. I am in way to many for one thing.

I picked up my blocks from "Pieced Together" today and actually came home and made them. These are 2 of the same 9 inch blocks. I think it is going to be really pretty when it is done. Here is a picture of all of them so far.

Another one I got up to date is from "Quilt of Many Colors". They have 2 color ways and I am doing both. It is a mixture of different sized blocks. I can't make up my mind which color I like the best. They don't even look like the same blocks.















When I was making the last block on the green one I used some new pins my DH got me for Christmas. They are called fork pins.

They are made to use when matching up seams. They took me a little while to get used to them but I am starting to like them. I think they helped me make one of the best blocks I have ever made. I am going to keep watch to see if they have improved my stitching. I will keep you informed but I think they are pretty good.

Well time for bed. The Colts just lost. BooHoo.
